This course is an accelerated but rigorous preparation for the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH®) exam. Participants will learn how to assess, test and penetrate their own systems. Through a multitude of practical exercises, they will gain a thorough understanding of security systems. They'll start with how perimeter defense works, and move on to understand how to attack in order to validate the security of their own networks, without causing any real damage.

The course breaks down the various stages involved in an intrusion, from recognition to privilege escalation, and recognizes the steps to take to make environments secure. Topics covered include intrusion detection, procedure creation, social engineering, DDoS attacks, buffer overflow and virus creation. When participants leave the course after five days, they will have mastered the concepts of ethical hacking.
